About The Artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden (), surgeon and etcher, was born in London. He was educated at University College School, University College (London) the Sorbonne (Paris), and member of the College of Surgeons (London). A distinguished surgeon, he followed the art of original etching and catapulted. Sir Francis Seymour Haden's original etching, "The Complete Angler ('Ye Compleat Angler')" is a composition that deals with the theme of fishing, one of his favourite pastimes.
